The Three Steps of 3D Printing
STEP 1: Get or design an object
Find 3D printing designs online:
- thingiverse.com
- yeggi.com
- or other sharing site.
Design it yourself:
- tinkercad.com
- SOLIDWORKS
- or other 3D Modeling program.
STEP 2: Consult with Lab Attendant
- Come to Makerspace in Carrie Rich
- Open file and show to Lab Attendant
- Discuss options such as most appropriate printer type, support and orientation
STEP 3: Submit Job
- Submit job and upload file. This can only be done on the computers in the Makerspace.
- Your job will be printed for you, and you will be notified at each stage.
