Launching for the first time this July, the Bob Barker Engineering Camp will welcome 24 high‑achieving high school students for a hands‑on introduction to engineering, professional skills and college preparation. The camp is completely free for all participants.

 

Participants will experience Campbell’s project‑based engineering curriculum through design projects, communication and teamwork skill-building, professional development sessions, and industry engagement. Student teams will complete a community-focused design challenge and present their work at a final‑day Design Expo open to families, alumni and industry mentors.

Top teams (1st–3rd place) will earn one‑time scholarships applicable to their freshman year at Campbell University if they enroll and declare engineering.

All participants receive official Campbell Engineering apparel and a backpack.

Eligibility

• Rising 10th–11th graders
• Strong academic potential
• Interest in STEM
• Willingness to engage in team‑based learning

Camp Format

• Day camp: July 13–31, 2026
• Hours: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. daily
• No transportation provided (except for industry tours)
• Participants must commit to attending all days in full

• Unofficial high school transcript
• Letter of recommendation
• Short video essay

Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

All application materials must be submitted through the Camp Registration page.  No other submissions will be accepted.

All applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and applicants will be notified by mid‑April.
